15/30 headshot scheduling

Background choices: Background will be replaced digitally with either your choice of solid or dynamic color choice, or the company standard choice. All backgrounds start as medium grey on live view screen and will be changed as requested. Please refer to your company if you have color requirements or dress code specifications.

Clothing choices: Be sure to steam or iron where needed. Bright neon colors can cast a color to the face and is best to avoid these (neon pink/construction orange and green). All neutrals are great. Pinstripes that are very fine and close together, can distort behind the lens. Please lint roll if you have pets. The best outfits are the ones you can have someone take a photo of you in, and you feel great. If you are worried about your wardrobe moving if you move, it will be hard to pose you so choose something you can move a bit in.

For 15 minute sessions: Please plan on one outfit and simple headshot posing.

For 30 minute sessions: You may plan an alternate outfit, an outfit piece swap, or accessory swap with this time.

Posing will be coached but it’s REALLY helpful if you practice how you like your smile and facial expression with your mirror or your own camera phone ahead of time so we can dial in quicker. You should look in the mirror or your phone (from face height - not way above) and find your favorite angles. Try moving your shoulders, neck, head angle, smile angle, relaxing, and moving in or away from the camera to find out what works best for you.
